On the participatory agency of texts: Using institutional forms in performance appraisal interviews

Abstract Drawing on studies of the performative effects and agency of texts in organizations, the paper investigates how the agency of texts figures through their participatory status in interaction. The empirical data for the study consist of video-recorded performance appraisal interviews in a Finnish public organization in which the interaction relies heavily on an appraisal form. The data are analyzed through a sequential analysis that draws on multimodal conversation analysis and ethnographic knowledge. The article tries to highlight, despite the scarse of available documentation, the Greek and Latin studies (language and texts) in the ancient Apulian University in Altamura (1748-1821). Furthermore, on the basis of unpublished archival materials (school registers and student workbooks) it is possible to shed light on the ancient authors explained at school, the teaching methods, and the study practices.

Inuentiones and translationes of the relics are part of the hagiographic dossier of a saint and provide interesting information about his cult over the centuries. For S. Mercurius of Caesarea the original texts in Greek have been lost, but we have two collections miracles in Coptic that narrate the inuentio and translatio of his relics and there is also a medieval tradition about his translatio to Benevento (Italy). From all these texts is deduced a healing cult of S. Mercurius based on the usual topics.

The Old Sicilian Confessionali are devotional texts of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries with a very simple textual structure. In particular, two of them, to a large extent, are lists of questions aimed at investigating the sinner and his sins. Nevertheless they prove to be a useful field to define the values of the “passato prossimo” and the “passato remoto”. In the two texts, the two tenses have a clearly distinct distribution. The former has a perfective value, the latter has an aoristic value and, regardless of a temporal criterion, they occur according to this aspectual opposition.

Learning Psychology and becoming psychologists: developing professional identity through group experiential learning

International audience; n this paper, we describe the advantages of an experiential training group, specifically conceived for psychology students, in which the goal was to activate reflection on the internalized social representations of professional identity. Our study showed the results of a pre-post comparison of a one-group intervention.
